RULES FOR COMPETITION
|
- There are two levels of competition: Collegiate and High School, open to all bonafide Asian students in the Philippines.
- The essay, on the theme "The Magsaysay Awardee who inspires me most: the Magsaysay greatness of spirit lives", must be written in English between 500-1,000 words in length. Each essay may have its own title. All entries must be saved and submitted as a MS Word document (.doc) or Rich Text File (.rtf) and should follow standard essay format (double-spaced; 8.5" x 11"; one-inch margins on all sides; 12 pt. Times New Roman or Book Antiqua). The participant's name must not appear on any of the essay's pages.
- Students are required to register in the 5th RMSEC's online submission page in www.rmaf.org.ph to enter the competition. After registration, students email their essays to rmsec5phil@gmail.com providing on their email the code generated during registration.
- An online endorsement from the head teacher or school principal (for secondary) and university/college registrars, deans or department chairs (for college) is also required for entries to be considered official. School officials must ensure that student participants provide true, accurate, and complete information on the Registration Form.
- Only original and unpublished work may be entered. Essays which have won in previous contests may not be entered. All entries shall become and remain the property of the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation.
- Deadline for submitting entries is on 10 August 2007.
