Description
A Green World Tour, written by Tang Xiyang and his deceased wife, dedicated environmentalists Marcia Bliss Marks, introduced its readers to nature preservation as a global movement and became the bible for China's young environmentalists. (Magsaysay Citation) It is a grand adventure story laden with anecdotes about exciting encounters with rarely seen animals and vivid images of panoramas from the beginning of time. (Goloy in Great Men and Women of Asia, 2008) Tang, in his response for the Magsaysay Award for Peace and International Understanding in 2007, shares to us that this book looks at the world from China's perspective; at the same time, it looks at China from the whole world's perspective. It seeks to share international experience in environmental protection and promote understanding and friendship among the world's peoples. Furthermore, Tang challenged the readers "to become great travelers, explorers, scientists and vanguards for nature conservation. (Magsaysay Citation) On the other hand, his latest book entitled Wrong, Wrong, Wrong (or Cuo, Cuo, Cuo in Chinese) summed up his green tours and is also a compilation of views of more than 180 environmentalists including Tang's own thoughts on man's faulty attitudes toward nature and why it is important to stop making the same mistakes. (Goloy in Great Men and Women of Asia series, 2008) Photo shows book signing event for this latest book.
