While Asia is now at the forefront of global growth, complex problems continue to oppress its teeming millions. The enormous challenges call for extraordinary measures.
The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation (RMAF) is equipped to help narrow this gap with its rich repository of transformative leadership. Over the past 50 years, the Magsaysay Awardees have dedicated themselves to work that has transformed their societies for the better. They have applied on-the-ground, unique and inclusive solutions to wide-ranging problems that have been proven to work and are sustainable. Their life-changing experiences can be shared with the rest of the region.
The Ramon Magsaysay Transformative Leadership Institute
Through the RMTLI, the Laureates will be at the core of efforts to develop global, collective, and creative responses to the deep-rooted problems of Asia.
The institute will be a leading-edge hub where movers and doers can pool their passions and proficiencies, spawn new ideas and solutions, and initiate collaborative ventures.
Leadership Dialogue Program
The Awardees and fellow leaders will interact in moveable settings where they can define problems, and develop strategies; focused discourses leading to practical, collective action on pressing Asian concerns. Replicable solutions that will work for small communities, and expand to national and regional spheres.
The channels will include conferences, lectures, leadership retreats, and online fora.
Leadership Immersion Program
A new generation of leaders will be raised through peer learning, staff exchanges, corporate mentoring, and immersion in the work of the RM Awardees, in preparation for roles as associates and successors.
These emergent leaders, infected by compassion for their people, will adapt the work of the Laureates to what is relevant to their condition, and unlock the key to individual and community empowerment that will lift people's lives.
The tacit knowledge collected from the Laureates through the decades, together with new and evolving solution modules generated by the Institute, will be codified to make RMTLI the go-to entity for research on Asian problem-solving initiatives.
